I was very angry because most modern remakes or prequels/sequels these days are just really bad. However, I was surprised at this point.
The actress they chose doesn’t look like her and can’t deliver her lines properly
It started with the show’s intro, they did a really good job casting the actor playing the young Dexter who could have become a son. Actually, all the characters are pretty well cast, except for the character of "Debu", she is pretty terrible.

They wrote her dialogue well, it’s just that the actress doesn’t deliver it with the right attitude or timing. It’s a minor annoyance, though overall it’s worth a couple more episodes to see if they blow it up or not.
